Raising Hope 2023 Recap

Because of you, we beat our goal and raised $120,000 through Raising Hope to serve Wake County’s foster teens and former foster youth. Your donations are already at work:

  • helping emerging adults secure affordable housing

  • supporting young adults in overcoming barriers to pursuing educational and employment opportunities

  • connecting teens to paid internships that open the door to new career paths

  • training and matching Academic Mentors who help teens living in foster care succeed in school

We are so grateful for this wonderful community of love and support around our youth.

Thank you to everyone who came, donated, sponsored and shared our work with your networks. A special thanks to our Emcee, the brilliant Elizabeth Gardner, WRAL’s award winning meteorologist, Mrs. Kristin Cooper, First Lady of North Carolina, and our award winners former Board Chair, Jim Jarrard and founder of SaNora Cares, Kimberly Evans. We are humbled by your support and honored to partner with you in this work.
